My 7 yr old ds got up about 45 mins after going to bed last night and was very upset saying he didnt feel good. He said he had felt like something had rolled over or crushed his face but wasnt able to explain it very well. Also, his right cheek and ear were red and hot but his left one was fine. I'm not sure if he had been sleeping or awake at the time.

I put him back to bed and he settled but I then googled and saw a few people saying their cheek goes red with a seizure and now have got myself panicking. I tend to be quite anxious so need to get others perspectives. Am I being daft?

Just noticed this was unanswered. I would say that his Cheek was red because he had been lying on it. Probably a bad dream caused him to wake and he was feeling a bit confused. Was he feverish at all? Many children have disturbed sleep when hot. Try not to worry too much but keep an eye out for any other symptoms.

Thanks for replying, I'm such a worrier. He had been a bit unwell the day before and had a temperature but seemed okay again that day. His ear and cheek were red hot on one side but okay on the other. Hopefully he was just drifting off to sleep and had a bit of a dream.
