Spotty rash on chin - what to put on it?

My 2.5 year old had had an irritated, spotty chin for a few weeks, which kind of started with a cough and a cold. I've been putting sudocrem on at bedtime which seems to help a bit, bit it's no sooner calmed down for a day or two then it flares up again. My older DD had a similar thing as a toddler and it turned into impetigo which was a bastard to shift, so I'm keen to avoid infection.

Any suggestions for what I should be treating it with?

Was going to suggest sudocream!

Dd used to get a spotty rash from eating tomatoes and the juice dribbling on her chin. Could it be that? If not, I'd get it checked out by dr, since it's been a few weeks already.

That as in something similar. - excess oranges, new juice over Xmas etc, not necessarily specifically tomatoes !
