DD has had a cough for a couple of days

Its a dry cough and seems worse at night. Are the baby cough syrups any good? Shes 8 months.

Also could I try the Vicks on feet with her but use Snufflebabe instead? Will that work do you think?

Thanks, she is my pfb but I'm trying to hold off taking her to the doctors as I know they can't do anything for coughs.

Cough syrups are a waste of time, I would go with the Vicks on feet (works a treat), coughs can last quite a long time, my gp says not to worry until they have had a cough for 2 weeks or more. Prop up one end of her cot with a couple books so she's not lead flat (as she will cough more when flat ), I would also recommend buying a humidifier (you can buy them in boots and agros), they are a god send and you will probably use it a lot over the next few years.
