Chicken pox, how do you know they are all scabbed over?

Hello,

My son has CP and started getting spots last wednesday. They are mostly scabbed over now but I'm worried I'll miss one. How scabbed do they need to be? Just dried out or proper red scabs?

www.hpa.org.uk/webc/HPAwebFile/HPAweb_C/1194947358374 - hpa says 5 days from spots appearing. No mention of scabbiness.

Interesting, I though they could still be passed on through un scabbed spots. I kept him off today as I don't want to ruin someone's Christmas. He's going back tomorrow though.

Thanks for the link.
