I hope that the boy was OK and nothing terrible happened. I guess we'll never know...but it seems an odd thing to make up, unless you have something like Munchausen's by proxy going on.

I don't think it was made up. There was no message to say that they doubted the credibility of the op just that she's requested it removed. A troll eouldvt care who said what to them.

I don't think it was a troll. I hope they are getting the medical care they need and taking care of themselves.

I didnt see it, but I hope that it wasnt removed because of troll hunters. imo, troll hunters can and probably do do real damage.

But it doesnt help that generally mumsnet take several hours to arrive on the scene and make an announcement one way or the other.
