circumcision aftercare - what do I need to get in?

Hello my 5 year old is having his circumcision soon. Do I need to get dettol/teatree/loads of salt in for baths? Do I need to buy him big pants and tracksuit trousers? Any weird dressing stuff that I won't be aware of (have heard scary mention of stuffing stuff in his pants). Will he be able to actually walk afterwards?

Also any general tips for aiding and speeding recovery would be helpful, 10 mins with the consultant 3 months ago strangely did not give me the information I need Grin

I would write down the same questions & phone the consultant back.

Thank you I am having trouble getting hold of anyone, the consultant who referred him isn't the same one as is doing the op and seems to have left (!) the one doing the op is very very busy in hosps all over the area. He is having a preop assessment done a couple of days before, maybe they will be able to advise me on the practical details?

You absolutely must insist on it, don't let them leave the room until they answer your questions. Wink
