Nurofen for children >24 hours for 17 week old

Advice needed. My DD is 17 weeks and we've both had a bug (snotty, cough etc). She's had a low grade fever (37.8-38.1 ish) for 2 days. Apparently I should only give 3 doses of nurofen then take her to dr if no better. I'm going to take her to docs tomorrow - I don't think she's ill enough for ooh. Can I carry on with the nurofen in the meantime? I'm also giving her calpol but 6 hours between doses is hard on her.

When so young if she is needing capol and brufen so regularly then I would want to at least talk to a doctor for advice.
