Little one unwell and out of character

My 16 month of daughter has been really off side the past two days. She has had a temp, the highest being 39.3 on and off as calpol seems to be doing the job in bringing it down. She has been very lathargic and slept for a few hours each day which is unlike her, lucky if I get 20 min on a normal day.
She is very steady on her feet usually and very alert but today she has fallen serval times and has little interest in things, for example won't look if your talking to her.
I think I will go the Gp tomorrow but will they tell me just to continue with calpol, we only have open surgery on mornings and you end up waiting for hours. And next appointment is Wednesday.
Any advice would be great x

I'd take her - it could be an ear infection affecting her balance. I'd be most worried about her not being alert. Is she drinking ok?

Yes drinking but not eating well at all and she is usually eating everything in sight.
