Now she has had a kiwi a few days ago and they do look like kiwi seeds but she had had 'soft stools' for 2 days now and her poo contains hundreds and hundreds of them- far more than is in one kiwi.

She has been unwell with a cold and temperature, she isn't eating more than a few bites at a time and unless she has calpol she is quite grumpy.

Google hasn't really come up with anything conclusive. A few sites have hinted at a parasite- but no clue as to what. Some have said that dried blood can look like coffee grounds.

Can anyone shed any light?

Not sure what it could be, if the poo looks like coffee grounds might be worth getting her checked by a GP, it may well be nothing but I have always been told since PFB DD by medical professionals, they would rather you bring baby in and it be nothing for you to not and there is something IYSWIM?

Hope she gets better soon.

Thank you. She has just done a more normal poo on the toilet (far fewer seeds in) which has put my mind at rest a little but yes will get her checked out ASAP anyway.

My son had this when he had rota virus.
