We're going to Frenchay hospital in Bristol with DS4 in December for 1 or 2 nights. He'll be 6 months old. I've been to the day surgery bit with DS2 once and to our local hospital (Musgrove in taunton) loads with various dc's. Never been to the main ward at frenchay though. Any tips? Ideas of what to bring? I normally take a pillow and duvet for me when we go to Musgrove as I get a proper bed but only one tiny blanket and rustly pillow. Probably not a good idea if I'll be sleeping on the floor/chair though as nowhere to store it.

Can you tell I'm focussing on the practical stuff to try and distract myself from the fact that my baby has to have surgery Blush
