Both my children seem to be prone to styes

No serious, but sore and uncomfortable. Between them, one or the other seems to always have one.

It's not something I or Dh have ever really suffered with, although we are both prone to the occasional spot.

Is there something we're doing wrong hygiene wise, or something we can do to prevent them?

They're 10 & 12

Make sure they are getting lots of sleep, not stressed, and limit screen time.

and I would take them both to the GP, and as recurring styes can be a symptom of other things.
