Mottled Skin 1 year old

Hi

Does anyone know if this is something to worry about? Dd has mottled skin on and off - sometimes it's a purply mottle, other times a pinky mottle and other times her skin appears normal. No other symptoms and temp is fine.

A few weeks ago she had a uti & the mottly skin came on when her temp was high, but she no longer has the uti.

Any ideas? Her hands and feet are generally cold (mine are too) so don't know if it's a circulation thing. When she was in hospital with the uti I kept mentioning the mottled skin but they were unconcerned.

I don't think you need to worry....now if you said her lips were regularly turning blue-ish then I'd say worry. If she's healthy and active and developing well it's fine....and you did mention it to healthcare professionals who saw no issue. I sometimes stress over little things too.

Thanks jitney! It's just such a minefield sometimes isn't it?!

My 20. month old is the same, although walking around obviously has helped. MIL has cold feet/hands. I on the other hand tend to be nice and warm when others are cold.....

Thanks Brett, reassuring to know other toddlers have this too!
