Different ibuprofen dosages for calprofen and nurofen?

So, we we have always used baby nurofen. The dosage we use is 5ml as DD is 14 mo. However, we just bought the calprofen and I noticed (after giving a 5ml dose) that they recommend 2.5ml doses up to 3 years. They are both the same suspension strength, so I'm not unduly concerned, but it seems strange to me that the calpol people say you only need half as much as the nurofen people. Is there controversy about how much ibuprofen you should give a one year old?

I had noticed that in the past too. We normally use the nurofen too
