My DD has been ill 5 times in the last 4 weeks, which is highly unusual. She has high temp, then sleeps for about 16 hours straight, has no appetite for a few days and is very sallow looking just before an episode. Twice she has been physically sick in the last 2 weeks, when she was on hols with her dad. She was never a sickly child, and i can count on one hand the number of times she's vomited since birth!
Am seeing the doc tomorrow for blood tests and urine tests. I told her tonight to prepare her, and understandably she is very upset at the thought of blood test as she had one done 3 years ago and still remembers.
It sounds like she has a virus, she has no aching limbs. But 4 weeks?! We leave for our holiday in 4 days' time and am now wondering if i'm gonna be spending it dishing out calpol most of the time!
We are going to Dorset (Swanage), and wondered if anyone has a good contact for a doctor there, just in case?
