Taking DS to see a paediatric gastroenterologist tomorrow. What might happen?

DS (10) has soiling issues. We've been under the GP on and off for years (probably since potty training, if I'm honest). He had a faecal impaction just over a month ago, and since then has been on two sachets of movicol daily. His soiling is worse than ever. We have an appointment tomorrow at the hospital with a consultant. Does anyone know what might happen? Is he likely to have tests/an examination tomorrow? Want to prepare him as best I can. Thanks.

Loads of history taking and questions, a tummy prod, maybe a wee look at back passage ( not invasive) maybe organise more tests

Maybe referral onwards to other specialists

Thanks. I was wondering if they might order blood tests/ultrasound or xray? Or is that not done?
