Sudden fear of the toilet

DD has stopped sitting on the toilet to have a poo. Instead she stands, does it in her pants then slopes off to the bathroom where she basically just scoops it out and puts it down the toilet.
She refuses to talk about this AT ALL but it really is driving me mad now.
We never have any loo roll left and the toilets sre constantly getting blocked up.
Anyone else encountered this ? Why has she become what I can only surmise is a fear of the toilet?

how old is your DD? Can you bring back a potty which is less threatening? Can you moniter her in the loo to see what she is doing re toliet paper and maybe advise on amoubts/ useage?

She is 6.
This problem only cropped up recently as prior to this she was brilliant at using the toilet and very independent.
I have monitored her on the loo which is how i found out what she was doing. However, she has a meltdown if i try to offer advice.
Only yesterday I said to her that whatever was happening she could talk to me about it and I would do all I could to help. She just gets very upset and nods then leaves the room.
I think she is just really embarrassed as she knows it's not normal behaviour.
I have taken her to the GP but he just gave us some Movocol and seemed to completely miss the point. It's not that she is constipated she just won't sit on the toilet and do it.
I think this is a problem in her head, not physical. But I don't know who to go to for advice.

Is she too old for Mr Poo Goes to Pooland? Worth a shot?

My DD did this when she was 4 complete nightmare she would dance about holding her bum, and then she would throw her poo at us when she couldn't hold it in anymore. we used to take her to docs who would put a glycerine suppositary up her bum to make the poo come out easier as she used to get so dry.After the whole headache of it she just stopped by herself! But then she has always been awkward she's 12 now.

She probably has been constipated and has a fear of sitting on the toilet because she remembers being in pain when having a poo before. So she withholds it as long as she can until it comes out in her pants. Giving movicol regularly can help keep the poo soft and easier to pass, and so help reduce the fear of pain when sitting on the toilet. You are doing a good job to reassure her.
