Voltarol and breastfeeding, sleepy baby

So, I've been using Voltarol gel for back pain for 2 or 3 days, self-prescribed - I thought it was ok as I was prescribed diclofenac tablets after my c-sec. Anyway, now my EBF 4mo has been having a lovely snoozy day with longer than normal naps, but otherwise cheerful and normal.

Could the diclofenac have got into my breast milk and be making him sleepy? Would that be a problem? Anyone else ever had similar?

It's probably best to check with the GP as there's lots of stuff, even over the counter stuff, which you can't take/use whilst bf.

With Voltarol you should read the leaflet it comes with.
Medicines in cream like this are absorbed by your skin and can pass through in breast milk.

Be a bit careful as if babies are you g, their organs won't be up to dealing with the meds. Talk to your GP before using anything. Better to be safe.
