DS1's 'waist hurts' - trivial or worth checking out?

DS1 is 5.6 and has recently been complaining that his waist hurts. He points to his lower stomach, a little below his navel and I suppose a bit above his bladder? It isn't all the time and it can't be that bad, as he just remarks on it and is easily distracted. Doesn't seem linked to needing a pee or poo. Might be linked to a tight elasticated waistband but he thinks it sometimes hurts if he's not wearing anything tight.

This sounds trivial, but I just wondered if it's worth taking him to the GP and asking her to at least feel his belly? It unnerves me slightly. Confused

I would get it checked out. But I'm coming from having ignored dd2 who was a drama queen for ages only to discover that she was quite badly compacted.
Round the naval could be grumbling apendicitis, unlikely from what you say, but worth a check.
