Hello, I wondered if there is anyone who's been through this with their child? My 5yo dd has had cholesteatoma in both ears, removed by combined tympanoplasty. She went in for stage two surgery on her right ear in January and it was clear. However, by the end of April she had developed infection in that ear again and was diagnosed with polyps. These were surgically removed three weeks ago but the consultant is concerned as to the underlying cause being possibly more cholesteatoma. She's been for CT scan this week and we're awaiting the results.
We've been fighting this now for 2.5 years, and I'm yet to find anyone with a similar experience. Would be great if there was anyone out there to share with!
