When is sick sick and not just sick re: school and 5 year olds?

We've all had tummy bugs over the weekend. DD1 was last sick on Saturday so I kept her off school today even though she's been fine.

But, she's just been sick again. I am fairly sure it's because she was arsing about with her dinner but obviously can't be sure. She's splashing about in the bath now happy as Larry. So what do I do about school tomorrow? Obviously if she's ill then she's ill but I don't want her to miss nearly a week of school when she only has three weeks left and she's probably fine.

Any advice? She's only in reception, hence the cluelessness!

I think given the stomach bug background I would err on the side of caution at least for 1 more day.

It's hard to know isn't it?! Our school has a strict 48 hour absence policy after sickness so I would be tempted to keep mine off because school would ring and ask for her to be collected if she said she had been sick(and she would definitely mention it!!) . Maybe ring school and see what their stance is?

The school is hot on the 48 hour thing and I totally get that. But she's been right as rain since Saturday and she's fine now, apart from the fact that by telling her to go to bed I've "ruined her day" Hmm

Keep her off. There's a really nasty bug going round and it's just not fair to send her back when she could still re-infect others.
