Can anyone help with a question. My DS2 has chickenpox (spots first appeared 2 days ago) he is fine in himself and not complaining at all.
Thing is am I being lulled into a false sense of security or should I expect it to get worse as the days go on. The thing is I really should go to a work thing overnight that has been really difficult to organise and will be a real pain all round. If he continues the way he is then I could go and he would be fine but will be get worse. Experiences please

I found both of mine were grouchy before the spots appeared but once they were there they were actually fine in themselves. They were a little itchy, but with the help of childrens piriton and some calamine they were their normal happy selves.

I think all children are different, but I think we were lucky. I knew she was likely to get it as she'd been exposed to it. I noticed on the Friday morning she had the first behind her ear and she was fine all day. Slowly more came out and the worst was the Saturday afternoon and especially the evening when in bed when she was itchy and it was noticeably troubling her. I'd say for her they had all come out by the Monday and by Wednesday they had all crustsed over.

Hope your little boy is better soon!
