DD who is 3 has had a bit of fever tonight following on from her vaccine yesterday. Was going to give her some nurofen but confused about doseage. Usually has 5ml but box for post vaccine says 2.5ml. Is this for all ages? Please can someone advise.

The correct dose for a 3yo is 5ml which can be given 3 times in a 24 hour period.

The post vaccine dose of 2.5ml is intended for babies up to a year.

The doses are calculated on body weight so you will need to give DD the 5ml in order for it to be effective.

Hope that helps.
