Ds is five months. Has chicken pix which came up on thurs night and today is all over him. He slept well last night albeit next to me, from 7pm-6am then 8am-10.30am then 12.30am-1.15pm then 2pm until who knos as still asleep now at 4pm. In relatively good spirits and alert and eating when awake. Obviosuly being ill makes you sleepy - so should I worry he is sleeping so much?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

If you can rouse him easily and he is alert and eating I think he should be fine. But you know your child best and if he seems different when awake to normal seek professional advice

Sleep is a great healer, I wouldn't worry unless he is difficult to rouse as previous poster said.

Hope he feels better soon, poor little thing.

Just think of it as a virus that wipes you out. As long as he's not too feverish or grumpy when awake I wouldn't worry (DD had it at 3.5 months).

Agree with the others- as long as he can be roused and is alert when awake, I wouldn't worry.

Thank you. Think it is yet to come - no blister have popped yet and many spots yet to blister. Heart absolutely breaking for him and he is covered.
