Anyone else's DC's had a bad reaction to their Booster?

I'm aware of current News Items and I really don't intend this to be political. Genuinely just wondering if other Mumsnetters' DC's have had a similar reaction.

Ds had his Pre-School Booster Mon, by the evening he'd reacted, high temp etc and ended up in A & E yesterday when I couldn't keep his temp down with Calpol and Nurofen and he was having trouble breathing with it also (Hospital said yesterday they couldn't find anything yesterday and concluded it must be the Booster) He's Just really out of sorts and hot and bothered and genuinely meh! I can't recall Dd reacting like this to hers. Anybody elses' DC had a reaction and how long did it last for? Thanks in advance ~

Also, is it true I should report it somewhere? I remember reading about a Yellow Card thing to report the side effects ~

Not a DC, but I've had this reaction. Had the jab Wednesday and am now tucked up in bed. Couldn't even make it to the bathroom this morning without having to stop for a rest on the way. Feeling absolutely horrible. Feeling like that first stage of flu where your body just aches like you've never ached before and headache/sore glands.

We ended up at the GP's last night as his temp spiked again despite the amount of calpol and nurofen I've pumped him with and Conjunctivitis; GP was quite concerned and nearly sent him back to Hospital as there's actually been a few cases in our Area so they're hoping he hasn't picked them (Measles) up or indeed another Virus or Infection at the same time and been harbouring it before he had the Jabs. They've put him on AB's and if he still has a temp at Lunchtime I have to take him back to A & E.

Friends and Family have been telling me their DC's didn't have a reaction until at least a few weeks later so at least he's getting it out his system now I suppose

lottieandmia thanks for the link. GP said he wants to see him again next week and then they'll decide whether it's connected to the Jabs and then will Yellow Card it themselves .
EduCated hope you are feeling better real soon. That's exactly how I would describe Ds, Fluey, and like you he just has Zero energy totally out of Character for my usual tearaway yet he was perfectly healthy pre-jab.

I seemed to have it come on far quicker than all the information suggested it should. I am feeling a bit better now, so not too concerned. If I'd been ill today like I was yesterday I think I most definitely would be at OOH now!

Same here EduCated, Ds had his in the afternoon and was absolutely rotten by the evening. Did you lose your appetite too? I can't get Ds to touch his, not even tempted by Chocolate Buttons but at least he's drinking. Ds keeps dipping, okay for about an hour and then goes back to hot and bothered stage. Glad you're feeling a bit better today, hope you're through the worst of it, i felt really silly but I'm glad I trusted my Instincts and insisted on someone seeing him again, GP's said they need to see the reactions to report it accurately anyway if it's confirmed to be that. My Parents told me my Sister came out with a small dose of the Measles exactly a month after her Booster! ~

Exactly like that. Appetite didnt disappear completely but definitely had to think to make myself eat, wouldn't say I've felt hungry! Feeling a lot livelier today though glands are swollen. Seems I've moved onto the mumps stage!

Sorry forgot to report back on this one. He was still offish for most of the weekend but absolutely fine when it came to his follow up with the GP on that Monday. GP admitted then, that it's been a long time since a kid frightened him (medically) and DS did that Friday.

They put it down to a harboured Infection as the AB's obviously worked on whatever it was and just say he was incredibly unlucky to have picked it up at the same time he was fighting his jabs.

Educated hope you had a speedy recovery in the end too ~

Oh dear, this is what makes me jumpy. DS is three and I need to get this booster done. Read it should done at 3yrs 4 months. Is that right?
OP did your child react to the first one too??
Can the booster be split over doses of m,m and r over a period of time??
