Can anyone tell me to stop worrying about mole on DS head?

When washing DS (5) hair yesterday, realised that the mole on his head which he's had forever, has gone almost black in colour, is bigger and is now quite raised.
Am seeing GP tonight and it's probably nothing, but I am just really worried....

They will probably tell you it is nothing to worry about. DS2 has one on his scalp, hidden by his hair. it went very dark and raised a bout 4 years ago and I got it checked out, but it was fine.
