My 16 month old ds had 24 hours of d&v, Friday am to Saturday am. For the rest of sat/sun he napped a bit more than usual but was his normal lively self in between.

From Monday, however, he has been really drowsy and fussy, hardly wanting to play. I took him to the doctor yesterday who said its completely normal to feel exhausted and take a long time to get over it, but I feel uneasy because of the change in his demeanour on Monday, 48 hours after the end of the d&v.

He is bf and has been wanting lots of feeds and not much in the way of solids. His poos are looking like newborn ones, v yellow and runny.

Thanks for any ideas.

Could he still be a bit dehydrated? You could try diorolyte sachets - mix with black current to re hydrate. If you are worried though I wouldn't hesitate to go back to gp, you know your LO best. I know when my DD had d&v last it took about 3 days till she was back to her normal self. Xx
