advice wanted on daily growth hormone injections

DS is about to start on daily growth hormone injections. Does anyone have any experience of this and any advice?? Only just had confirmation of tests so am still in shock. Thanks

Poor you and your DS - I'm sure you must be in shock and the thought of nightly injections must be overwhelming. I don't have direct experience but do have a DS with a growth disorder which is often treated by GHT, and think it's worth you taking a look at the child growth foundation website. (Honest, I don't work for them!)

It is www.childgrowthfoundation.org It helps parents or anyone affected by many growth disorders. I think the forums may be a bit quiet there at the moment because they have a facebook page, but there's also a helpline and lots of information. It's really worth taking a look if there is not much traffic here tonight - or even if there is. There are lots of parents who have dealt with this and know loads about which device to choose etc etc. That forum (and organisation) was a lifesaver for me when my DS was first diagnosed.

I can second the child growth foundation being brilliant. They have a very active FB page. Just search for them on FB and follow the instructions for joining. My child has a growth disorder and is just about to start hormone therapy but not growth hormone and I have found the fb page for the child growth foundation to be so supportive.
