could try a small safe, you can get them in lots of DIY stores or hardware stores. Or use a large lockable cashbox.

I sell small mini safe's in my ebay shop if that would be any good to you. I keep all my meds in one.

I hope your dd is ok!

How about a padlock on a kitchen cupboard?

DS did the same last year (and drank nearly a full bottle of calpol Shock) and we moved all the medicines to the pantry and have put a bolt at the top of the door so he can't reach it

IKEA

Lockable medicine Cabinet. Ours is silver, and hanging high up on the wall in the downstairs loo.

We have a locked cabinet in our bathroom that we got from ikea, dh and I each have a key on our house keyring. It was 7 or so years ago but I think it was £14 then.

Lock them in the boot of your car until you find one you like. Then you know you can get at them but your Dc's can't.

Lockable toolbox?

IKEA

However, also a proper chat with your dc that they are out of reach for a good reason.

They HAVE TO LEARN. I don't know how old your dc are, but they will at times be in other people's houses, friends, grandparents, uncles/aunts etc. and you don't want them to try then.

THEY HAVE TO LEARN THAT WHEN YOU SAY SOMETHING IS OFF LIMITS, IT IS OFF LIMITS. Point out what the sanction is upfront. Depending on their age, something immediate and not for too long a duration as they may not be able to see the connection, eg handing in favourite toy for the rest of the day/maybe even weekend for repeat offending.

I would test them in a little while (not now but say next weekend after you have had several chats about this, so they have time to digest it), leaving the vitamin pot with one tablet somewhere in sight and reach and see if it gets taken.
