My DS looks so pale this morning and I have noticed over the last few weeks he has looked pale but Ive put it down to a few late nights.

Then today Ive been thinking whether it is down to his diet and if I shoudl get him checked out.

He is a great vegetable eater and prefers these to meats and thinking about it he hardly eats any meats, milk, cheese, eggs or fish.

He has tuna in his sandwiches, likes sausages, will soemtimes eat roast chicken on a Sunday will eat chicken nuggets etc... but will eat good amounts of peas, carrots, broccolli, cabbage, green beans, sweetcorn, (no pots though).

If I make pancakes he will eat them so he's getting eggs, milk etc.. but this is rare.

What do you think?

My DD is very pale...she always has been, she also is almost vegitarian. She's 4. Your DS's diet sounds quite good! Certainly not short of meat and veg...he's probably just fair skinned. Are you or DH fair?

Im now thinking perhaps he's not getting enough iron rather than proteins...No we are not fair.

A normal day would be:

  • Breakfast - crossiant, cereal (no milk)
  • Lunch - tuna sandwiche with cucumber (no butter), fruit bar, piece of cake or biscuit, maybe a fun kids yoghart
  • Dinner - plain pasta, chicken nuggets or sausages or tuna (mixed with the pasta and vegs), carrots, green beans, broccolli,

I's hard to introduce new foods now but would really like him to eat more proteins not so much meats but perhaps fish or eggs
