Baby walking on tiptoe on one foot only...?

My 18 month old for the last few weeks has started walking on occasion on his toes on the right foot only - has anyone any experience of this? It's only a few times a day and lasted a few weeks? He had a late diagnosis of congenital hip dysplasia but was given all clear in December for the hips being ok - so can't see how something changed in his hips in 1 week? But just wondering if it is something else? Just a little toddler thing? Or something more serious?

Any similar experiences would be be great?

Background (case it helps) He has been quite run down poorly with chest infections over dec/jan and has only a few (3-6) words...

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Not sure - speak to your GP or health visitor?

Thank you - he is poorly at the moment with temperature etc so will wait for that to clear up (for what feels the 100th time) and then take him to the GP -

I'm a bit late to this thread so you might already have it sorted.

DS started doing this at a similar age. He spent a night in hospital and had lot of tests and it turned out to be irritable hip caused by a virus. He had been poorly with a cold for a few weeks previously and the virus had irritated the hip joint.

No treatment was needed and he was fine within a week.
