Hacking cough all night but sending to scho

Not sure whether to keep ds(6) off school. He's been pale for a week or two and a hacking cough all week. He's been coughing all night for the last few nights. Yes he's tired but seems ok at school(
I think) teacher says its just
because there is is chicken
pox in the class and the kids have the tail end of the virus.
I spoke to he nurse and we agreed if he wasn't any better to take him in to drs on fri. So... Do I send him in or keep him off, WWYD?

Keep him off,

school is hard enough when you are on top form, let him recover,

and you won't be spreading germs.
