Baby has hives/rash that are steadily spreading. Do I need to worry?

i HAVE TAKEN HER TO THE DOCTOR AND BEEN GIVEN CREAM BUT RASH IS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE (sorry caps!!) and is now heading up her neck towards her face. At what point do I need to be concerned?

You need to phone out of hours gp. Your baby may need anti-histamines, but they will be prescription only or there may be something more going on, either way you need to see a doctor.

Depending on her age, check the bottle, you may be able to give her Piriton. My daughter used to get hives a lot when she was a baby. We ended up in A&E once when it was really bad and were given Piriton and told to always keep it in the house.
It is best to find the source though as hives are usually a result of an allergic reaction.

I was told that a rash that begins spreading towards the face needs medical attention. Phone out of hours.
