My 6mo has caught my rotten cold. High temp, no other symptoms. What should I be doing?

Thats it really. She is eating and sleeping but she is hot to touch. Only came on last night (Weds) but she is still hot now.

Should I be panicking?

A bit of Calpol. If that doesn't bring her temp down, you may need to worry a bit more.

I have no medical training but my DC2 is prone to these spikes in temperatures when teething or with a cold.

I can't get a reading under her armpit. Her forehead is hot but not on fire IYSWIM

Why can't you get a reading? Some thermometers don't record above. Certain temp if there's any chance of that I'd get her seen.
