Dd has an ichty bottom front and back. Have done the torch test for worms but seen nothing. Went to docs yesterday he checked and no evidence if inflamed skin or infection. It keeps waki g her up at night tho. Doc suggested she might be too hot at night so she has no pjs on tonight but still woke (no heating on either) 3rd night now. Any ideas? Should I go back to doctors? She is 5 yrs old

Why not treat her with Ovex for worms anyway? Is it OK for 5 yos? Can't do any harm? And boil wash all bedding, towels etc?

Good idea will get some tomorrow. Anyone know of any cooling/soothing creams that might help

Worms aren't always easy to spot. Id treat with medicine anyway just to see if it stopped the itching.

start by treating for worms and treat all the family and her again 2 weeks later

you could try sudocrem for the itching as well

and check how she wipes herself - front to back? - or back to front? also no bubble bath etc in case that triggers it

but probably worms

Sudocrem was my first remedy but made the itching worse. Will get worm treatment tomorrow thank you

I find zinc oxide cream often sorts out a red bum, but I'd worm her too.
