Can I give gripe water and infacol?

Not sure if this should go in breast/bottle feeding but anyway, my 6 week old is screaming and kicking his little legs in pain. A few hours ago I gave him gripe water and it had a little effect but after his last feed he's still screaming and kicking. Is it safe to give him infacol now or should I persist with the gripe water?

Infacol wouldn't have any instant affect anyways do I'd keep going with the gripe water tonight.

Have you tried a warm deep bath? Rubbing his tummy? Cyclibg his legs?

It's probably colic which Ime not much helps but time.

Google tiger in tree hold that can sometimes help as can skin to skin time.

Thanks bea I didn't know infacol took a while to kick in. Not sure it's colic as he's been pretty good recently. He's just been spitting up a lot so I haven't winded him as we'll as usual so I suspect it's trapped wind. Thanks for your advice though!

I thought gripe water wasn't recommended until a year...

I used camomile tea for my Ds who suffered terrible colic. Worked a treat.

I gave gripe water to DS when he was about 3 months old, that was 4 years ago, but I seem to remember it being for babies then.

I would try the infacol now OP, it might help. And the tiger in the tree helps too. Plus walking up and down stairs helped with DS, especially if I held him in the position he'd be in one of those outward facing baby bjorn carriers (which I didn't own out of principle, makes you wonder looking back!)

goodking it says it can be used from 1 month. Chamomile tea sounds good - I have that. Did you drink it or give directly to baby?
bertie have given one more dose of gripe water and he's comfort sucking at boob and seems calmer but every time I put him down he starts screaming again have heard talk of this magical tiger hold! Will google now thanks!

I gave it to Ds in a bottle. I made up a pint of strongly steeped tea (1 bag) then cooled it, stored in fridge. When I needed it, I put about half a bottle full in then topped up with freshly boiled water. If baby doesn't like it, put a tiny bit of brown sugar into it. I was using honey until my hv said I shouldn't before a year!

Actually, been wracking my brain to remember (Ds now 14) and it was not half a bottle, more like a quarter, then top up.
