10 month old pooing in night and waking

My nearly 10 month out DS has got into habit of pooing in the night, could be 12am or 4am or anywhere inbetween!! He wakes and takes upto hour to resettle. Before this he has slept through 7-6am every night from a couple of months old.

His poo is the consistency of play doh and has been for few months. Anyone any idea how we can stop him pooing at night???

Hoping someone can offer advice xxx

I don't imagine there is anything at all you can do
Is he eating more solids recently?

He started solids at six months, but preferred finger foods so slow to take any real volume. All I can think is that it's constipation and he poos at night because he is more relaxed? His poo is very formed and quite large.
