2.1 Son says Ow when weeing after taking a strong anti biotic

The tip of his penis looks really angry and red. I took the same anti biotic and got thrush and used Canesten, which worked for me. Shall I use that before taking him to a clinic tomorrow? Or an anti biotic cream?

I would take him to the GP. My 3yo DS had this (can't remember if it was after taking antibiotic, but he has had quite a few courses). The treatment was just Canesten, but he also had a urine infection and needed another antibiotic!). His was very swollen as well as red. Wouldn't take any chances with a young child.

If possible, take a (fresh) urine sample with you - it's a right old pain trying to produce one at the surgery!
