Can you recommend a sunscreen for child with sensitive skin?

Going to US soon, and DS always seems to have a flare up when using sunscreen. He doesn't have eczema but his back tends to break out in millions of small itchy bumps, perhaps due to slapping on factor 50 every hour and being in the pool all day. So are there any high factor sunscreens that you can recommend for him? Also an after sun. Thanks.

E45 do a suncream not sure if they do a after sun, will check!!

sorry me again, but this is a really good product, made of natural ingredients also the e45 cream (normal stuff) would work well as an after sun!!

Buy Aveeno sunscreen when you get there - don't think you can get it here - well not easily. You can get Aveeno on prescription if you have eczema and we found it was the wonder cream for calming sore skin. Would be good to buy generic Aveeno too.

Sunsense is also good (John Lewis sell but not cheap) you can get it in prescription if you have eczema so must be gentle.

my daughter had this problem all through her childhood , really bad rash every time we used ANY suncream
the only stuff that worked EVER was banana boat sport not the kids one as that has aloe vera in and caused a reaction too! as did e45 !
they do a cream or a spray mist now and both were fine
She stil uses them now shes grown up as so senstive to all others on the market

My dcs react to all sorts of suncreams, as do I. This year we've all managed to use Soltan Sensitive without any problems at all. Incidentally, I use factor 30, instead of factor 50 as I find this is less likely to cause a reaction and because a friend who is a paediatric dermatologist said in terms of sun protection, factor 50 offered only a tiny bit more protection than factor 30.

I am allergic to most sunscreens but have never had a problem with boots soltan sensitive or the kids one

My ds had allergic reaction to Nivea and soltan. Went to gp and they prescribed sun sense factor 50 . It was great no problems.

Green People do an excellent sun cream for children and pure aloe vera is the best aftersun IMO

Aveeno do a sun screen. They sell it at Savers and is surprisingly cheap.

Yes - this one. I never use anything else now, on myself or my DS. It smells delicious and you feel like you are putting something on your skin that is good for it rather than slathering it in chemicals.
