Just realised been overdosing baby on gaviscon

Given it a week ago. Put it in every bottle, but dd has 8 bottles a day and just realised it says no more than 6 doses a day.

It's made her constipated. What do you do, miss two bottles?

She is more settled, but has been treated for thrush too.

I used to put it in all ds bottles but he was only taking 2 ounces a time (right up till 15 months) so probably wasn't taking full doses.. The consultant told is it was fine anyway as hardly any of it is absorbed into the bloodstream. My ds was prescribed lactulose at first to help with the constipation, he only needed it for a short while he soon became used to the gaviscon and had no troubles going.

yes gaviscon caused my babe constipation too and shes on lactulose for it, im just weaning her off the gaviscon at 16 weeks as it doesnt seem to be doing anything anymore and shes not had any reaction so far
