DS is 3, found small hard large pea sized lump in the left hand side of his neck at tea time. I know it is probably a swollen lymph node but he has been seriously ill in the past - had meningitis when he was 8 months old and at the same time a lump was found on the left side of his brain, lump somehow disappears with no medical intervention and lesion left behind - and as this lump is on the same side am now even more anxious than usual that something awful is going to happen to him.

He also has almost a constant runny nose, which he has seen consultant for, so we are thinking that swollen lymph node could be due to this. Will be taking him to GPs tomorrow.

As you mention already, it is likely to be a lymph node, indicating some sort of infection. Does he have fever?

Hopefully you get some answers tomorrow when you see your GP.

Holding your hand, hope you get some answers soon.

No fever, just runny nose which he has had pretty much almost constantly since April last year.

Been to drs, confirmed as two lymph nodes so a lot less anxious now! Thanks for your messages.
