3 weeks ago I noticed that all 3 DC had a rash on their ankles. They had been at the beach and walked through long grass so I assumed it was some kind of bite from insects. After a week the rash seemed to spread up their legs and onto their torsos and a few spots on their arms. DD2 seemed to have it worst so I took her to GP as also wanted to have her night time cough checked out. The doc examined the rash and said thought could be Roseola as didn't seem itchy and would clear on it's own in all 3 DC.
DD1's rash was never as bad and she now has maybe 5 spots at most on her torso. DD2's rash seems to fade and every couple of days a few new spots will appear and then fade. Neither of them have complained of being itchy from the rash.
DS's rash seems to be getting worse and I noticed last week was causing him to itch so took him to see GP and again doc examined him and said didn't seem to be any kind of bite but not sure what it is as doesn't seem like any common childhood rash so again put down to viral even though DS has showed on signs of being unwell.
The rash is flat slightly raised pink spots about 5mm big. He has them scattered over his legs and a on his torso they seem to cluster together but never merge. They seem to be causing him some distress with itching so I have been using calamime lotion morning and night and giving him a once a day children's antihistamine.
Does anybody have any idea what this rash could be. I myself suffer from plaque and guttate psoriasis and this isn't like it or even eczema.
