DD has a rash, and hot areas on her arms

I have had her seen by the GP this morning, her arms and legs were covered in a red joined up rash. GP says it is a heat rash, she is not unwell at all, just seems more tired than usual.

The rash has almost gone from her arms, but her legs are still covered, although it isn't as angry looking.

This evening, I noticed she has a hot area on both upper arms, in exactly the same place. Am pretty sure it isn't sunburn.

Any thoughts please?

Has your dd still got the rash? Did she have pink cheeks as well? My dd has just had Slapped Cheek disease and was very flushed in the face, but otherwise just as you have described!

DD woke up complaining of itchiness, and then got one flushded cheek, then another, then got areas on arms just as described here - looked exactly like sunburn and felt hot to touch. later spread to legs and tummy although turned into red bumps which looked insect bites.

Took her to A&E who thought she had hives related to a viral infection (she has a cold for a few days). Very worried now as he said they can clear away quickly or go on for weeks/be chronic. I thought of slapped cheek desease but noone has mentione it and I wasnt sure what other symptoms were.

Piriton has eased her symptoms but she does still have a couple of small warm areas (one patch of cheek) and a few bumps on her legs that seem itchy.

i hope your LOs are better - would be interested to hear how they have progressed and if you think they have a similar thing

allag when my ds had slapped cheek he had very very red cheeks for a couple of days, then a high temp for maybe 24 hours. after that he seemed better but got a lacy pinky red rash which spread all over and also a mouthful of ulcers.

The redness on his cheeks did continue to come and go for a few months and it did seem to 'knock' his immune system for a while but he got chickenpiox shortly afterwards so hard to say which was to blame.
