Pretty sure ds has thrush. He is bf, do I have to be treated too?

Thought ds just had nappy rash but it's looking yeast like to me and I've just noticed telltale white patches inside his cheeks.

When dd had oral thrush as a baby they insisted I didn't have to be treated too. I was a bit naughty in the end and used a friend's prescribed stuff for her because it just wasn't shifting and I was fairly sure I was just passing it back to her.

I have an appointment at 5.20pm to get something prescribed but should I be insisting on it for me too?

Yes, and the NHS agree with me

hope you get this in time - suggest you print it off, as I think many GP's won't automatically prescribe for both of you

I got it as I was dashing out the door. Thanks nextphase! GP was pretty good and immediately asked if I was bfing anyway. It is thrush and we have meds for his sore bottom, meds for him to spit out gargle with and meds for my nipples.
