Our 9 month old has had a cough at night for a while and since sat has been sick after coughing.

Been to the docs twice they say there is nothing they can do and its not whooping cough.

But its quite traumatic. She goes to bed as normal but then wakes up coughs a bit and throws up. We are changing her bed sheets daily.

What is causing this? Is it the heat? Shes not unwell in any other way just coughs and then pukes.

She doesnt do it during the day, she hardly even coughs.

It's just the cough....mine do it too....I know how awful it is to hear them like that. Sad

You can however do a few things to help...I was tld to raise the cot slightly at the head end...by placing something under the legs...I used two Yellow pages. WHen they're raised at the shoulders like that, it helps the mucus drain away....

Is the room well cleaned or is it dusty? Make sure it;s well hoovered and has some ventillation. When she starts coughing, you can take her into the bathroom with the shower turned on so it is nice and steamy...this releves the cough too.

I read a good rick on here....to rub Vicks on their feet....and then put socks on them for bed. I think the vapours rise up their body and help them...but maybe 9 months is too small for Vicks...you should get some of those Carvol capsules and drop a little on her sheet before she goes to bed.
