DD is 9.5 weeks corrected (20 weeks actual- born at 29+4). Her main prem problem was a slow bowel and poor weight gain.

If she gets lots of wind, particularly if she cries a lot, she is sometimes really sick; not like a possetty-with-a-burp type sick, but retches, and then heaves quite a few times, eyes wide open, red in the face and is sick, sometimes a little, sometimes what seems like nearly a whole feed, a bit with each heave.

It only happens once every 2-3 days generally.

She does posset and burp sick a bit at most feeds, and she is already on reflux medication due to her symptoms and poor weight gain.

Sorry about the long post but I've never seen such a young baby heave and be sick like this, and sometimes it's almost like she's choking on it and it scares me... :(

Dd did. She used to do it every day. She was born at 42 weeks. However, she didn't have any weight gain issues.

Given that you're owrried I think I'd ask the HV.

When dd was sick it was like fountain after fountain of milk.

Has she been checked for tongue tie?
