My 21 month old is having eye surgery fri, does anyone have any advice?

It is bilateral squint correction. Not a major op, but general anaesthetic etc.

The only thing I would say is children dont react as badly to things like this as adults do. She doesn't know what is about to happen and whilst she will be grumpy when she wakes up she will bounce back far quicker than an adult does as they dont have the same need to feel sorry for themselves. I have two god children who have had open heart surgery - the first learnt to walk the day after!
