DS has been blinking excessively and rubbing his eyes a lot for a week or so. Both us and Childminder noticed.

Do I need to get his eyes tested? Could it be something else?

My DD started doing this so I took her for an eye test and was told it was very common in children of this age. It's just a habit they form.

Optician said not to mention it , ignore it and it will stop - it did!

Worth getting an eye test anyway as even though the blinking was nothing we did discover a slight problem that may need minor surgery in the future.

Hayfever? Ds started getting his early on.

Ok, will get them tested. Do I just take him to an optician?

Yes , that's what I did.

The test is very child friendly and tailored to their age. My Dd thought it was fun!
