2 yr waking at night screaming and clutching feet

my dd has always been a poor sleeper, she always ends up in bed with us at the moment but will wake clutching at her feet& often her calves screaming. It doesn't happen every night probably about 3/4 times a week. She doesn't have any problems in the day time with her feet or legs. I was thinking cramp?

Cramp was what sprung to my mind before I even opened your thread, I used to get them a bit when I was younger. Maybe the position she gets herself into when asleep could be the trigger?

Yes I thought cramp, shes just had a scooter so not sure if that is making things worse if she overdoes it although it started before then. Would you bother going to the gp or leave it?

I thought cramp too, try lots of water and bananas
