Hand Foot and Mouth - contagious in incubation?

Hi - my 21mo DD was in contact with her cousin on Wednesday who we now realise had HFAM. Yesterday we saw a couple of smaller babies, and I want to warn their mums in case their is any risk of their children contracting it.

However, I don't want to worry them if there is no chance of my DD passing it on while she is (potentially) incubating it.

Hope that makes sense - anyone know the answer?

Thanks

this says they're contagious before the spots come out and it takes 3-5 days between infection and blisters showing.
