What symptoms have they told you about?
Dd had been acting poorly all day and has had fever on a off. She says 'no nuffing hurts' but is refusing to use the toilet and had made 2 random comments today about hurting when in the toilet (once when I set her on the toilet and once a few hours later when she said she had to go and immediately said 'no it hurts' -but when questioned further said 'no nuffing') she also made 1 comment about have a sore back...
I've put a pull-up on her in hopes she'll go pee soon, but she doesn't like going in them...and she keeps dancing like she wants to go and saying she does, but then refusing both going in the toilet and in the pull-up. She is very distressed.
Not sure what I can do if anything...it's added to my stress as we're supposed to be going to the States tomorrow and it makes me very worried for her.

My DNephew used to get them all the time as a toddler/young child - he used to complain of a sore tummy and would often have a high temp too.
He used to be the same - constantly running back and forth to toilet, but too scared to actually wee because it hurt.

I know a lot of people who've had cystitis often find it easier to wee in a nice warm bath - maybe you could try this with your DD?

FWIW, does she drink Blackcurrent juice? Its supposed to be awful for irritating childrens bladders - like I said my DN used to get them all the time until my SIL switched him to orange squash and he never had an infection again

I suggested going in a bath she looked at me like I had flipped my lid Wink

she's not a fan of squash so that wouldn't be it (but that's very interesting to note!)

She just put herself back to bed with the pull up on...kind hope she goes as she sleeps as maybe that would make it easier. She's hardly eaten anything today... just 2 large poppadoms I managed to get in her. She even left the peppy-romi Wink pizza I ordered in thinking it would tempt her has it always does. Does not bode well. :(

Hmmm interesting Babs... this morning she had gone in her pull up which was odd (of late) and she didn't want it off at all (even odder). Tho orginally I just thought her very tired because she was up super late last night, she could sleep which I had put down to a late nap. (tho now I'm wondering abt it all) When I did get it off her it was a bit odd smelling I remember, but I thought it might be the fact the pull up was 'fresh' out of a new bag...

When ds had one he had a very high temp with no other symptoms other than evenutally it hurting when he peed.

When dd had one she had no symptoms other than blood in her urine but she was only 15 months.
